# Virtual Channel Configuration Example
Virtual channels are a relatively complex and important configuration aspect of dedicated virtual routers, involving many technical terms and concepts. This section provides a specific example to help understand and apply these configurations.

## Scenario Requirement
A user needs to use the dedicated virtual router service to connect disaster recovery devices located in South China (Guangzhou) to the SIGCALCLOUD Cloud Connect. The total bandwidth required is 2Gbps with primary and backup functionality, access to public services, customized destination network segments using a static routing protocol, and health checks using BFD. The goal is to establish internal network connectivity with remote devices.

## Best Practice Steps

### Step 1: Offline delivery and console ports have been created and are visible.

Confirm the specific CE equipment and its configuration. The offline part of the dedicated line must be thoroughly confirmed and the ports allocated by SIGCALCLOUD personnel. After completing operations such as cabling, confirm whether resources are visible and information is correct on the console. Once verified, proceed to the next step.

### Step 2: Create a Dedicated Virtual Router

Select the South China (Guangzhou) region, create a new virtual router, and name it. Since there is a need to access public services, choose to enable public services and select "Primary/Backup" as the mode of operation based on requirements.

### Step 3: Create a Virtual Channel for the "Primary" Part of the Primary/Backup Configuration

Select the South China (Guangzhou) region and create a new virtual channel.
- Associated Configuration: The port is required to be exclusively used, select the port created in Step 1 for the "primary" function, and select the dedicated virtual router associated with the device created in Step 2.
- Interconnection Configuration: According to user requirements, VLAN division and a bandwidth of 1000Mbps are needed. Set as follows:

- Routing Configuration: Choose a static routing protocol and enter the desired destination network segment as needed:

- Health Check: Use BFD checks as per requirements. There are no specific requirements for intervals and counts, so fill out the settings as follows:

- Management Settings: Name the channel with a unique name that is easy to identify.

### Step 4: Create a Virtual Channel for the "Backup" Part of the Primary/Backup Configuration
- Associated Configuration: The port is required to be exclusively used, select the port created in Step 1 for the "backup" function, and select the dedicated virtual router associated with the same device created in Step 2.
- Other configurations are the same as in Step 3. Set the bandwidth for the "backup" part virtual channel also to 1000Mbps.

### Step 5: Add the Dedicated Virtual Router to the Cloud Connect for Internal Network Connectivity
